Time had taken a toll on the playground equipment and all new were installed
along with reworking the grounds. This shows a bit about the dedication
day activities.

View from the back of Oak Park. A large portion of the grounds have been
reworked, including the sandy area on the right. This park has had a sad
history of vandalism and gang activity. The neighbors have gotten more
proactive and in 2006 the park is doing better.

This photo was taken from atop the new "tree toy" that has recently been
installed. See those faces looking up? I think that they are waiting
for me to fall. Gladly, I disappointed them and got this nice shot.
This is one very nice apparatus and I just wish that they had existed in my day.

The City of Galt employees are planting Daffodils as part of the renovation of
Oak Park. Each year they select one area in which to plant Daffodils as
part of cancer awareness. l. to r. Donna Krueg and Rose Perez.

Eight year old Gabriela is having fun with the new Pirouette toy.

Jaisel is only 3, but she is enjoying the new swing set.

This unusual tettertotter is being demonstrated by Jody Nichols (14) and Alex
Trant, also 14.

This "tree" is very strong and popular.

That is the view from the top of the new "tree" toy at the park. It was
very popular. It is very strong and can hold a lot of people. It is
not hard to climb and feels very secure.
